How do you feel about "designer dogs," such as Cavapoos (Cavalier/Poodle) and Cavachons (Cavalier/Bichon)?

Do you feel annual booster shots  are necessary?
No.  Vaccinations last several years.  Titres are best.
No.  The AAHA and the AVMA state that CORE vaccinations are only needed every three years.
Yes.  My vet prefers annual boosters.

Have you done any research on the possible long-term effects of vacciniations?
Yes, I read all I can get my hands on.
Somewhat, I read up on this whenever it's convenient.

Would you consider contradicting your vet regarding a procedure you felt was unnecessary?
Yes, being human, vets are not perfect.
I may consider doing so, although it makes me uneasy.

Take a sneak peak at our second chosen breed - the rare breed Mi-Ki!  We are currently working on our "Miracle Mi-Kis" web site.  :o)  We will have new puppies in Februry from Sera and Hershey!

When breeding our own, home-bred Cavaliers (as opposed to breeding Cavaliers we purchased from other breeders), we have produced NO MVD, SM, patella problems, genetic vision problems, hip displasia, genetic hearing problems, hypothyroidism, diabetes, liver shunt, episodic falling syndrome, nor "fly catcher's syndrome."  By God's grace, we will continue to produce genetically healthy Cavaliers.

We have been breeding for type and health up to this point, accepting a variety of colors, which has given us an extensive gene pool and combinations to build on.  However, since we have proven the health of our second and third generation of pups, and will be working primarily with our own home bred Cavaliers, we will be
focusing more on color "perfection" in the future.

We are considering the option of accepting puppy deposits before the puppies are born.  If you are interested in the details, please contact me via E-mail.

Here are the beautiful babies from our blenheim Clarisse, a daughter of 2X JCh. Buck.  The sire is 4X JCh. Thalion.  I'm sorry but all of these puppies have been spoken for.  We do have two beautiful blenheim boys and one blenheim girl currently available.  :)
